Service restored to T-Mobile users following hours-long outage

SALT LAKE CITY  — Thousands of customers reported that T-Mobile was down Tuesday afternoon. Service was restored for customers after several hours.

T-Mobile told KSL NewsRadio said users still experiencing problems should try rebooting their phones.

“A facility in the Salt Lake area had a brief mechanical issue that impacted connectivity for some customers in that market, but this is now resolved, and service is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience,” T-Mobile said in a statement.

Reports on Down Detector peaked around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, with over 19,000 people saying they were having issues with T-Mobile.
