Utah ski slopes preparing to open after a weekend of snowfall

SALT LAKE CITY — After receiving snow from a winter storm this weekend, the ski slopes are preparing for skiers and snowboarders.
How much snow did the ski slopes receive?
Alta Ski Resort received up to three inches of snow, making the total 22 inches at the base.
Brighton Ski Resort got up to five inches of snow in the last 24 hours with a 21-inch snow base.
Park City received four inches of snowfall with an 18-inch snow base.
Lastly, Solitude Ski Resort got four inches, making a total of 20 inches of base.
When are the slopes opening?
Snowboarding and ski season has officially started for a few slopes, with the rest opening this week.
Park City Mountain Resort opened its doors for the winter season on Friday.
Alta has also already opened with its opening weekend starting on Saturday. Brighton is ahead of Alta and Park City, with its opening date on Nov. 14.
According to a Facebook post, Solitude is now open with some areas still closed off.
Slopes opening this week include Snowbasin Resort and Woodward Park City on Friday. Deer Valley Resort is set to open on Saturday.
Snowbird is also set to open on Thanksgiving day this upcoming Thursday.
