SALT LAKE CITY — They have a new stadium and now the Salt Lake Bees have a new look. Salt Lake’s minor league baseball team revealed their new logos, jerseys, and caps on Monday.
You may have to look pretty closely to see the changes. According to a marketing official, the team owners wanted subtlety.
“We wanted an evolution of the Bees brand, not a revolution,” said Ashley Havili, vice president of marketing and merchandise for Miller Sports + Entertainment in a news release. “We feel like the changes made honor the history of the Bees and allow for growth of the brand to a new audience.”
Bumble the mascot hasn’t changed. But the words around the mascot are in a new typeface.
Team officials said the ligature (the combination of the letters ‘S’ and ‘L’) harkens back to the logos of the Salt Lake Gulls and the Salt Lake Trappers.
Dashes of red and cream will complement the team’s main colors of black, white, and gold.
Other subtle changes were made to the words “Salt Lake Bees”, “Salt Lake,” and “Bees.”
The Salt Lake Bees are expected to open the 2025 season on April 8, 2025, in their new ballpark, Daybreak Field at America First Square in South Jordan.
In 2023, the Larry H. Miller Company, the team owners, announced the team would leave the long-time home of Salt Lake baseball and relocate to the Daybreak community.
