Juab County fire caused by a vehicle dragging chains near milepost 233 on I-15

Utah Fire Info has determined the cause of the fire was a result of a vehicle dragging chains. On Tuesday evening, the size of the fire had grown to 29.6 acres.

JUAB COUNTY, Utah — A new fire started up Tuesday night in Juab County, according to fire officials.
The Dutson Fire is located just off of I-15 in Juab County near milepost 233. One lane of southbound I-15 has been closed because of the fire.

According to Utah Fire Info, the fire was caused by a vehicle fire that spread to the wildland and has grown to 15 acres in size.
Utah Fire Info says, fire crews have stopped the advancement of the fire and are now working toward the containment of the blaze. Utah Fire Info also says crews will remain on scene throughout Tuesday evening and will continue to put out hot spots.
