Sean Reyes, Republican for Attorney General

Sean D. Reyes assumed office on Dec. 30, 2013. He was appointed by Gov. Gary Herbert after the resignation of Attorney General John Swallow.

He was born Feb. 16, 1971, and raised in Southern California.

Reyes earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1994 and his J.D. in 1997 from the  University of California at Berkeley Law School.

He has practiced in commercial litigation and employment law. Reyes served as a small-claims court judge and as president of the Minority Bar Association.

Reyes and his wife, Saysha, have six children

Reyes is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment for the defense of our families and communities and to carry on sporting and hunting traditions, according to his campaign website.
