“Mr Taylor is the greatest teacher I have ever known. He brings you into this choir program we have at our school and he changes your life. I’ve met some of my greatest friends in his class that I’ll never forget. These last three years of high school have been the greatest I could ask for, and that’s all thanks to him. And the best part is, is while yes he’s a teacher, but he’s a friend who genuinely cares about each and every student and their success. And I hate to say we don’t get a lot of those kind of teachers these days. He’s funny, smart, caring, and all the other crazy adjectives you can think of (that are positive) he laughs at my stupid jokes and I’m very proud to say he is the greatest teacher I have ever had”

“I absolutely love Mr. Taylor, he is one of my favorite teachers and he is so good at teaching as well. Not only does he teach but he’s always trying to make sure his students are better people and that they do good things. He is all around a really great guy and he’s so humerus and fun to be around, but he also can get down to work when we need to. Every time we learn something new he always dives deep into the culture of whatever we’re learning, which is way more than he’s even being paid to do because he’s literally just a choir teacher. But I love Mr. T so much and I really think he deserves to be recognized for his amazing things he does.”

-Keegan Porter

“He knows how to talk to the students and engage us in anything he has going for us.”

-Hunter K Petty

“He makes the class a good environment and he has a genuine good relationship with each of his students”

-Ashton Wood

“He is an amazing teacher. He always makes everyone feel included, and makes class fun.”

-Lillian McAllister

“Mr Taylor is fully dedicated to his job. He puts in so much time and effort into the choir department. Because of his dedication, we have large numbers of students in choir. He creates a safe and welcoming environment, one where can can all grow close together as students. He gives many students opportunities to lead with the various leadership positions he provides. One of my favorite things he does is help with a small after school acappella group called Motive. He puts in time after school twice a week to help the 12 of us rehearse our music and become better musicians. This is something he has done for a few years even when he wasn’t getting paid for it. He cares about his students passions enough to take time out of his life to help us pursue doing something we love. My high school experience wouldn’t be complete without him and his hard work.”

-Makenzi Jennings

“He really takes time to connect with his students, and genuinely shows that he cares. He is really good at making the classroom environment fun!!! I know I could talk to him if I ever needed a listening ear, and that he would help me in any way he could.”

-Kamaryn Wood

“He puts extra effort into his work and is the life of the choir program. He is positive and engages with each student. He is passionate and an incredible conductor.”

“He is so devoted to his students and even spends time outside of class to help us rehearse for performances. He teaches us essential things whether that is choir-related or skills we can use later in life.”

-Raina

“Mr. T is a phenomenal teacher, friend, and human being. He puts so much work into his daily lessons, connects with each of us students individually, and is very good at teaching us both how to sing and how to develop our character. Mr. T would be the perfect fit to win this award.”

-Tyler Blevins

“He always relates to the students and keeps the class interesting. He always notices those who feel left out and encourages great singing. I know so many people who have told me that “Mr. T is my favorite teacher.” I truly think that he is the best and most loved teacher in all of mountain view”

-Joshua Young

“Mr. Taylor is my favorite teacher. He fun, motivated, has amazing standards, and get things done. It’s always a happy day when I’ve got his class. He has really helped me grow not only in my singing but as a person.”

-Jonathan Thompson

“He is a person who is able to make the most different of people join together and create something beautiful. He has helped me become me become a more compassionate, humble, and appreciative. So many of my best friendships happen in his classes. And has made be a better singer, and a better person.”

-Samuel Stanley

“Mr.T is my favorite teacher and he deffinitly deserves this! He cares about his students success inside and outside of the classroom! He make class so much fun, even kids that dont like choir join just T to have him as a teacher! You wont find anyone else like him.”
