“Ms. Teasley works hard to foster a learning environment for not only safety and learning, but also comfort for each and every student. She strives to build relationships with her students, and her class adores her.
She is passionate about not only their emotional and mental well-being, but also their academics. She meets with her students one on one each week to discuss their reading and math goals. She shows them their growth graphs so they can see how much they’ve increased in their academics from the beginning of the school year. She also discusses with her students what they need to do in order to grow even more to meet their academic goals.
Ms. Teasley is also a leader at her school. She has supported other teachers with how to analyze their data. She offers support and guides other teachers to success in teaching content areas, such as academic vocabulary, in their instructional routines.
She is an incredible teacher and is supportive of everyone to grow and succeed.”

-Eron Aldred

“Ms. Teasley has a big heart and is extremely determined as a teacher at her school. She has a growth mindset and always wants to reflect and grow because she knows there are always going to be areas that need improvement. She provides her coworkers with ideas on how to perfect their craft as a teacher, and she is willing to support others when it comes to helping students succeed and grow. Her students mean the world to her, and she often reflects while looking at their data each week. If she notices that one of her students needs extra support, she stops at nothing to implement ideas in order to support them.
She is one of the most determined people I have ever met, and I know her colleagues and students respect her.”

-James Miller

“Rachel works very hard to make sure that all students at her school are successful and growing in their academics. While she was team lead for her second grade colleagues, Rachel came up with a monthly data spreadsheet in order to track all of the second graders reading and math data. It was there that conversations were had to help improve Each teachers approach to make sure that every student was making the academic gains they needed to. The school has since adopted her idea and made it a schoolwide initiative to help facilitate growth and reflection for all teachers at her school. Teachers are willing to adapt and grow in order to support their students, and Rachel is very passionate about making that happen.”
