Before joining KSL NewsRadio as a full-time host, Greg Skordas served as a criminal defense attorney and shareholder at Skordas & Caston, LLC, where he focused on criminal defense, appeals, juvenile law, police labor issues, and attorney discipline.

He served as Chief Deputy Salt Lake County Attorney from 1987 to 1995, and before that worked at the Salt Lake Legal Defender’s Association. Greg has held leadership roles in the Utah State Bar and Salt Lake County Bar Association, and helped found the Salt Lake Felony Drug Court. He also served as a Small Claims Court Judge and on the Utah State Bar’s Ethics and Discipline Panel.

Greg has taught trial advocacy at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he earned both his B.S. and J.D. He’s also trained law enforcement and attorneys through POST, the National College of District Attorneys, and other programs.

Over his 35+ year law career, Greg has tried more than 100 jury trials and 100 bench trials, and prosecuted or defended over 1,000 cases across every county in Utah. He’s appeared in all levels of state and federal courts, including the Utah Supreme Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

A frequent legal analyst for both local and national media, Greg has been featured on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Court TV, and all major Salt Lake City TV affiliates. He has been recognized as one of Utah’s top 100 lawyers.
