Body found at Stinking Springs in Corinne

SALT LAKE CITY — The body of a 69-year-old man was discovered near Stinking Springs, a natural spring in Corinne, Utah, on Friday morning.

In a Facebook post, the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office said the body of 69-year-old Eusevio Leyva was found at approximately 8:35 a.m. His body was found in the water near 9200 W. Highway 83.

The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office, Corinne Fire Department and Brigham City EMS all responded to the scene.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Cade Palmer said there were no obvious signs of trauma on Leyva’s body. At this time, the cause of death and how long he had been in the water at Stinking Springs is unknown.
