Pilot killed after small plane crashes in Washington County

SALT LAKE CITY — A plane pilot was killed on Saturday near Apple Valley after the small aircraft she was operating crashed in Washington County.
Sgt. Lucas Alfred with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the pilot was a female, and was driving a single engine aircraft near the Utah-Arizona border when the crash occurred.
Alfred said no one else was injured when the plane crashed.
