‘America 2.0’: Mark Cuban on life after the pandemic

Mark Cuban says that now is the time for heroes step forward and create things that change the world.
SALT LAKE CITY — It’s not business as usual anymore. The COVID-19, or novel coronavirus, pandemic has turned the world upside down, and businessman Mark Cuban says now is the best time for innovation.
Mark Cuban on what’s next
Speaking to KSL NewsRadio’s Dave and Dujanovic on Tuesday, the billionaire investor said that though things get tough, doors will open.
“The virus has obviously impacted all of us at some level or another, and it’s going to change us, the country, and the world forever. It’s not going to be business as usual.
“Once we get to the other side of this, I’m a big believer that our capitalist system is going to open the door for great companies to be created. … In five or ten years we’ll look back at 15 or 20 companies and wonder in amazement why we didn’t think of that.”
The potential for innovation to come from anywhere excites Cuban.
“Anybody at any time anywhere, anybody in the state of Utah, if you have an idea, if you have a vision for what life should be like when we get to the other side of this, try to figure out how to go for it,” he said.
“Ask yourself, why not me?”
Look for opportunities
Cuban says at times like this, even without daily routine, great ideas develop and heroes emerge.
“It really is an opportunity,” he said.
“Rather than looking at this as an ‘oh no,’ it’s an opportunity for entrepreneurs to say, ‘why not?’”
When things are all messed up beyond recognition, that’s when the heroes step forward and create things, invent things and develop things that change the world. And that’s what’s needed right now. If you have a vision for America 2.0, nows the time.

How To Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus
COVID-19 coronavirus is transmitted from person to person. It is a virus that is similar to the common cold and the flu. So, to prevent it from spreading:
- Wash hands frequently and thoroughly, with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds.
- Don’t touch your face.
- Keep children and those with compromised immune systems away from someone who is coughing or sneezing (in this instance, at least six feet)
- If there is an outbreak near you, practice social distancing (stay at home, instead of going to the movies, sports events, or other activities.)
- Get a flu shot.
