CEDAR CITY, Utah — After being rejected in both Kaysville and Grantsville, the Utah Business Revival was able to host the Colin Ray concert in Iron County. The country music concert was to help raise money for local businesses struggling during the pandemic.

The Utah Business Revival group first planned on hosting the event in Kaysville back on May 30. Although Kaysville Mayor Katie Witt expressed approval for the concert, plans came to a halt when concerns were raised about COVID-19.

From there the event organizers tried to host the Collin Raye concert in Grantsville but was again denied when a Tooele county judge ruled that it would not be allowed due to COVID-19 concerns.

Event organizer Eric Moustsos posted on Facebook about the decision.

The organizers of the Collin Raye concert were then able to find a place in Iron County where the concert was hosted Saturday.

Kaysville Mayor Katie Witt said, “I’m pretty tired of Romney Republicans who are trying to represent this state, I’m tired of people who will not stand up for our constitution.”
