Semi crash closes WB SR-201, blamed for one death

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A two semi-truck crash has closed all westbound lanes of SR-201 at 5600 West in West Valley City on Monday.

Sgt. Chris Bishop with the Utah Highway Patrol said at least one driver had to be extracted from their cab. Drivers are being asked to find an alternate route and are being forced off the road at 5600 W and at the Mountain View exit.
Troopers are on scene of a crash involving two semi trucks at 5600 W SR-201. Please avoid the area as crews work this crash.

Unfortunately this crash has resulted in a fatality. SR-201 WB will remain closed for several hours for the investigation and cleanup.
