Update: Vehicle crashes into Famous Footwear, leaving four injured

SALT LAKE CITY — An SUV crashed into a Famous Footwear in Sugar House, near 1170 East 2100 South on July 2, 2022. According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, SLCPD, four people were injured as a result.
Victims include a mother and her 7-year-old daughter who have minor injuries and one person in critical condition.
The driver also has minor injuries as a result of the accident.
The SLCPD Crash Team said that based on witnesses’ reports they believe the driver mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
They are still responding to the scene for further investigation, more information will be released tonight.
Update: We have four victims, including the driver of the SUV.
One person is in critical condition.
