BLUFFDALE, Utah — Three people, including a young child, were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash near Bluffdale. According to Andrew Burton, chief of police for Saratoga Springs, the crash occurred at the intersection of Redwood Road and 14600 South at 4:15 p.m.
Police say a pickup truck, traveling northbound on Redwood Road, collided with a vehicle traveling westbound on 14600 South.
According to police, witnesses reported that the truck may have run a red light, leading to the collision.
Police say two individuals in the vehicle, an adult male and an adult female, were transported to an area hospital by air ambulance. Both were reported to be in critical condition.
A young child, roughly the age of one, was also in the passenger vehicle. The child is listed in fair condition.
The driver of the pickup was treated on scene and is in good condition, police say.
For a time, Redwood Road was detoured in both directions. However, police say southbound was reopened just before 6 p.m.
Northbound Redwood Road will remain detoured at 14600 South until the investigation is complete.
