Two roof collapses reported in Cache County, no injuries reported

CACHE COUNTY, Utah — The Cache County Sheriff’s Department responded Thursday to two snow-related roof collapses.
The first incident occurred at a mobile home in Hyrum, while the second occurred at an addiction treatment facility center in Wellsville.
Two-roof collapses
In Hyrum, emergency personnel were called to 566 Eagle View Drive. The resident reported the roof was collapsing. The resident also reported to be suffering from an unrelated medical emergency. The tenant was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
According to law enforcement personnel on scene, the roof was sagging roughly 3 inches. The trailer is being inspected by a building inspector.
In Wellsville, first responders were called to the area of 7830 S. Highway 89/91. It was reported to emergency personnel that the roof over the pool area had completely collapsed. A smell of gas was also detected.
The facility was evacuated. All treatment providers and visitors were accounted for and were unharmed in the evacuation.
The County Building Inspector has been called in to inspect the building. The Cache County Sheriff’s Office and the Cache Valley Transit District are coordinating efforts to provide transportation and temporary housing for the 30 individuals who have been displaced.
