Wind advisory in effect for parts of Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — A wind advisory for Friday is in effect for parts of the Wasatch Front. Winds are gusting up to 50 mph today with reports of trees down in parts of northern Utah.
Northern Utah and eastern Box Elder County are under a wind advisory until 5 p.m. Friday.
⚠Wind Advisories have been expanded to include the Northern Wasatch Front and Eastern Box Elder County. This includes the cities of Brigham City, Snowville, and Ogden.

The National Weather Service said you want to play it safe on the roads, especially if you drive a high-profile vehicle.
Listeners have been sending in photos of trees completely uprooted by the strong gusts. Right now it looks like Sandy is one of the hardest-hit areas.

Power outages have been fluctuating but it looks like Rocky Mountain Power is doing its best to keep up.
