Body found by passersby on southbound I-15 at 600 North

SALT LAKE CITY — A body was found by passersby on Saturday morning, March 25, on southbound I-15 at 600 North.

The Utah Highway Patrol said that upon their arrival, multiple people had gathered around the person and were calling for help.

“Medical arrived and pronounced the person deceased,” UHP Trooper Wright said. “It does not appear any vehicles struck the person.”

“The Utah Highway Patrol and State Bureau of Investigation are working to notify next of kin.”

The two left lanes of southbound I-15 near 600 North were closed for approximately two and a half hours.

An investigation is ongoing.
