Plane crash in Morgan County Saturday, no injuries

MORGAN COUNTY, Utah — A plane with one occupant crashed in Morgan County Saturday evening.
According to a Facebook post from Morgan County Fire and EMS, the crash occurred at approximately at 7:37 p.m.
Air traffic control in Salt Lake City reportedly received a message from a separate plane stating it had received an emergency broadcast. According to the post, the broadcast said, “We are losing our engines and going down in Morgan County.”
Following this, Weber County dispatch received a second call from the crashed pilot’s sister. She informed authorities that he had crashed and was unable to get out of the aircraft.
According to the post, resources from Morgan Fire and EMS and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office arrived quickly and assisted the pilot to safety. His plane had reportedly lost power at about 9,000 feet in the air.
He was treated and released at the scene.
According to the post, this was Morgan Fire and EMS’ second plane crash of the year.
