Forklift accident results in death of 38-year-old man

CLEARFIELD, Utah — Clearfield Police Department says 38-year-old William Davis died on May 15 due to a forklift accident at work.
According to a release, at 12:29 p.m. dispatch received a 911 call of a forklift pinning Davis at Americold, located at 755 E 1700 S.
North Davis Fire District and officers with Clearfield PD arrived on the scene and found Davis pinned between a forklift and freezer shelves.
Police said that first responders quickly freed Davis and offered first aid before transporting him to the hospital. According to police, Davis arrived at Holy Cross Hospital in Layton with significant trauma to his lower extremities. He died from his injuries.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, officials have been notified.
The incident is still under investigation.
