Fatal accident closes east and westbound Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon

SPANISH FORK, Utah — The Utah County Sheriff’s Office says a crash in Spanish Fork Canyon was fatal, but authorities haven’t specified the number of victims.

The accident has closed both east and westbound Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon, about two miles from Highway 89.

Eastbound lanes are closed at the northbound junction of Highway 89. Westbound lanes are closed near Diamond Fork.

The Utah Department of Transportation said it has no estimated time of reopening for either directions.
