WEST JORDAN, Utah — A small plane made an emergency landing Monday morning after taking off from the South Valley Regional Airport in West Jordan. This emergency landing comes a day after a pilot crashed in Washington County on Sunday. No injuries were reported for either incident.
West Jordan Fire Department Captain Blair Marshall said the small plane took off at 10:30 a.m., with two people on board.
Shortly after taking off, the plane made an emergency landing on a nearby soccer field. Marshall said the cause of the emergency landing is still under investigation.
Both people on the plane were unharmed.
Marshall said the landing didn’t affect any roads and didn’t do any damage to the soccer field.
