HURRICANE, Utah — Police have arrested a Hurricane man after they suspect he shot and killed a man.
Police said Byran Hill, 55, was booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility for charges of murder, felony discharge of a firearm, use of a concealed weapon in a violent felony, possession of a firearm under the influence, and aggravated assault.
Hurricane City Police Department said they were called to a shooting at Eagles Lodge around 11 Friday night.
When they arrived they found a man, identified as Sean Moore, 41, had been shot. Moore, who was also a resident of Hurricane, later died from his injuries at the lodge.
Police said the alleged shooter fled the scene in his vehicle, but witnesses were able to identify him as Hill.
Hill was later located at his home where officers arrested him without incident.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the Moore family. If you wish to donate, you may do so here.
