State Rep. Quinn Kotter to step down in September

SALT LAKE CITY — State Rep. Quinn Kotter, R-West Valley City, announced Wednesday that he is resigning from the state legislature, according to a social media post from the Utah House Majority.
In a letter to House Speaker Brad Wilson, R-Kaysville, Kotter said he intends to step down effective, Sept. 9.

KSL NewsRadio’s Lindsay Aerts reports that Kotter says circumstances in his life are impacting his ability to serve. Stress levels are also reportedly affecting his health and work.

Kotter began his legislative service in January.
