Semi strikes three vehicles on southbound I-15 near Layton, no injuries reported

LAYTON, Utah — The Utah Highway Patrol says a semi traveling southbound on I-15 lost control Tuesday afternoon and struck three other vehicles.
The UHP says the incident occurred between Hill Field Road and Church Street in Layton. Fortunately, the UHP also says there were no serious injuries reported.
Two vehicles were struck in the number one lane, according to the UHP. The third vehicle was struck in the HOV lane.
Delays stretched to Riverdale in the southbound lanes of I-15. Delays in the northbound lanes were as far back as Farmington.

The UHP says the driver of the semi claimed to have hydroplaned. However, the UHP said “we can’t confirm that.”
