Suspect arrested in Denver after officer-involved shooting in Murray

MURRAY, Utah — A suspect has been taken into custody after an officer-involved shooting at Fashion Place mall on Wednesday.
Murray City Police said the suspect in the officer-involved shooting was apprehended by Colorado law enforcement near Denver. In a statement, police said the officer had received non-life-threatening injuries after the incident in Murray.
That officer was treated for minor injuries and released from a local hospital. The officer is on administrative leave as an OICI investigation continues.
The suspect was injured in an officer-involved shooting after police attempted to take him into custody and he fled.
Murray City Police said around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, officers pulled over a black Chevy Captiva with a stolen Indiana license plate near the Fashion Place Mall.
The man fled after police attempted to take him into custody, ramming a police car and hitting another vehicle parked nearby.
