Duchesne County man in custody after allegedly killing his wife

DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah — The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office says a man called 911 Thursday and told dispatch he killed his wife.
On Thursday, deputies responded to the Arcadia area of the county. When they arrived on scene, they discovered the body of Stacey Gilbert, according to a news release.
Her husband, Brent Gilbert, was taken into custody. He was transported to the Uintah Basin Medical Center to receive treatment for a self-inflicted injury. He was then booked into the Duchesne County Jail for investigation of aggravated murder.
