9-year-old hit by vehicle, life-flighted to hospital

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — Police say a 9-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle at Western Drive and West Ruger Drive in Saratoga Springs.
Derek Dalton with the Saratoga Springs Police Department said around 4:10 p.m. the boy was playing on the sidewalk before he ran into the road and a vehicle hit him. He was life-flighted to a hospital and suffered multiple broken bones and fractures.
“He’s got multiple broken bones, multiple fractures. He is going into surgery at this moment,” Dalton told KSL NewsRadio.
The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police.
