Suspect arrested after shooting on Antelope Island

ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK, Utah — A man is in stable condition after being shot on Antelope Island State Park on Wednesday. The Davis County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 16-year-old boy, alleging that he was the shooter.
Police said a man in his 50s was shot in the early afternoon. Officers found him on the causeway after responding to a reported road rage incident. He was taken to the hospital.
According to police, the shooter ran from the scene, causing a large search by law enforcement. The causeway to the state park was closed because of the search.
The sheriff’s office said they found the 16-year-old after he was spotted by a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter flying overhead.
The investigation is still ongoing.
