Holiday wonderland “Luminaria” to return to Thanksgiving Point

LEHI, Utah –On November 16, 2023, the sights and sounds of the holidays will return to Thanksgiving Point with Luminaria. 

According to a press release from Thanksgiving Point, “Luminaria is Utah’s largest holiday light display.” 

It includes “millions of lights” spread across 28 scenes. The scenes are all located in the Ashton Gardens. Employees and volunteers have spent over 9,000 hours assembling the twinkling wonderland, according to Thanksgiving Point. 

According to Thanksgiving Point, Luminaria “features themed areas with twinkling lights, holiday displays, scents, and one-of-a-kind experiences.” 

The guest experience begins with a twinkling display called the “luminary hill.” Guests enter to see a display of 6,500 lights, programmed to display holiday visuals. The lights are paired with a 120-foot Christmas tree and seasonal music. 

The popular “Fire & Ice” show will return this year. According to the press release, “[the] 7-8 minute program will feature flames that shoot over 20 feet in the air and lights dancing to a powerful musical number.” Showings will begin every 20 minutes. 

Visiting Luminaria

Guests can visit Luminaria until January 6, 2024. Time slots are available between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thanksgiving Point is encouraging those who want to attend to purchase tickets in advance. 

Luminaria guests can also purchase guest experience packages and add-ons to enhance their experience.
