Two dead after fatal shooting in Murray

MURRAY, Utah — Murray Police responded to multiple calls of a shooting that took place in the parking lot of Brickgate Apartments located at 142 W. 4450 South.
According to a press release, officers on scene discovered two males with gunshot wounds. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
According to Murray Police, the incident of the shooting is believed to have originated from a dispute between two groups. An argument escalated, resulting in one man producing a firearm, leading to the fatal shots being fired.
The press release states that Murray police are speaking with witnesses and individuals involved to gather further details and insight into the tragic events.
Authorities are also in the process of tracking down several occupants of the vehicle that fled the scene.
At this time, the identities of those involved are being withheld.
