AMERICAN FORK — The Utah County Sherrif’s Office said they’ve found a body they believe to be missing 19-year-old McKenna Miner near Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. They made the discovery during a search for the teen, who had been reported missing earlier in the week.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office said it believes Miner died by suicide.

Yesterday, deputies spent the day combing through the area. The search resumed this morning for Miner, who is from the Provo area.

According to a post on X, Utah County Search and Rescue crews searched on horseback and in airplanes.

Miner was last heard from on Sunday. Her car was found in a parking lot near Tibble Fork, according to Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s reported that Miner went hiking alone in the search area.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office posted on X that
