BRIGHTON, Utah — Ski slopes in Utah could be full of visitors this holiday weekend, and they’re going to get a nice dose of fresh snow from an inbound storm.
“So we are expecting 6-12 inches for the northern Wasatch Mountains,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Linda Cheng. “So that’s basically north of I-80. For the southern Wasatch Mountains and the Western Uintah Mountains, we are forecasting three to 8 inches.”
Brighton, Park City and Solitude will see even more than a foot of snow drop today, according to Ski Utah.
About a quarter-inch of rain, and even some snow, could fall on the Wasatch Front.
But don’t expect to break out the sled if you’re staying in the valleys.
“We’re right now expecting an inch of accumulating snow [in Cache Valley],” said Cheng.
