SALT LAKE CITY – Ryan Smith, the owner of the Utah Jazz, is hyping up the possibility of bringing more professional sports teams to Utah.
Smith posted a rendering of a potential revitalized downtown Salt Lake City on X.
Downtown Salt Lake City is the heart of Utah. Our efforts are not about an arena, it’s about revitalizing a downtown that desperately needs investment. Imagine a downtown experience like this with the NBA / NHL at its core. pic.twitter.com/w2Qzxf17gs

Currently, there are no official plans. While the National Hockey League has not officially announced a Utah team, a bill to fund an arena for the team is currently moving through the Utah Legislature.
