SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Highway Patrol troopers came to the aid of a driver whose vehicle veered off Legacy Parkway near Center Street in North Salt Lake. The car ended up off the road in a retention pond. The driver was not injured in the accident.

Via Google Maps.

According to Sgt. Cam Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol, the driver, who was the only person in  the vehicle, managed to escape the car without injury. The driver said the accident was due to a sudden coughing fit. Paired with the slippery road conditions, presumably caused him to lose control and ended up in the retention pond.
