Skeletal remains found at Bear River Bird Refuge

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — Skeletal remains were discovered Saturday within the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.
According to the Box Elder County Sheriff’s office, the remains were found in remote part of the wetland area.
Both the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office responded to verify the nature of the remains.
The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office and Weber Metro CSI arrived later to gather evidence.
Currently, the skeletal remains are undergoing further examination and identity determination at the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office.
No additional information was immediately available said Chief Deputy Sheriff Cade Palmer in a press release.
