Lehi High School teacher injured in undisclosed accident

SALT LAKE CITY — A teacher at Lehi High School was injured in what the Alpine School District and Lehi Police Department called a “tragic, very unfortunate accident.”
Lehi High School and LPD said in a statement that the accident occurred during class time around 11:30 a.m. Friday.
The teacher was brought to a hospital. No students were reported injured.
“We extend our deepest concern to the teacher involved and their family during this difficult time. We are grateful that no students were injured in the accident and we appreciate the swift and professional response from Lehi Fire and Police,” according to the statement.
The statement also said that all of the students’ parents were notified of the accident. Parents were also notified of support services and crisis counseling available to the students.
According to the statement, the accident is under investigation.
