SALT LAKE CITY — One person has died after being struck by TRAX train Monday night.
Utah Transit Authority’s Carl Arky said the incident happened around 8:06 p.m. A northbound Green Line TRAX train hit an individual just north of the 1700 South crossing, south of the Ballpark TRAX Station at 1300 South.
Arky said they are not sure if the person hit was male or female.
A bus bridge has been placed between the Ballpark and Central Pointe TRAX stations.
#TRAX Alert 9:00 PM: Expect significant delays system wide due to train contact with a person in the right of way near Ballpark Station. There will be a bus bridge between Central Pointe and 900 S servicing all stations in between those points.
