Suspect killed after alleged kidnapping in Millcreek

MILLCREEK, Utah — Unified Police officers shot and killed a person on Monday after responding to a call about a kidnapping. An investigation into the officer-involved shooting is ongoing.
According to a press release from the UPD, officers got a call about a kidnapping and hostage situation involving a 15-year-old victim near 3500 South 2300 East in Millcreek.
The UPD said that when officers arrived, they found that the suspect had a gun. Police shot and killed the suspect.
Police in West Valley will investigate the shooting.
