SALT LAKE CITY— County clerks will start sending primary election ballots to registered Utah voters Tuesday.
According to the state elections website, clerks are going to be mailing ballots out until June 18. Every registered voter in Utah should be sent one automatically.
According to election officials, if voters don’t receive an election ballot shortly after June 18, they should immediately contact their county clerk’s office.
Utah’s Primary Election Day this year is on Tuesday, June 25.
Voting by mail?
If you plan to vote by mail, ballots must be properly filled out and postmarked the day before Election Day (June 24). Ballots that are taken to the post office on Election Day will not be counted.
Officials encourage everyone to get their ballots in with plenty of time for the post office to receive it, postmark it, and send it off to their respective county clerk office.
For those who are unable to get their ballot postmarked in time, they can be left in any official ballot drop box through 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters can also opt to vote in person if a ballot is not received in the mail.
