A driver hit two individuals and fled away on West Valley

WEST VALLEY, UT– On Thursday at 11 pm patrol officers received a call on a red vehicle driver that hit two individuals, police confirmed.
The driver got out of the car to check on the injured individuals but ran away as police were approaching the scene. Officers communicated that the individuals only had minor injuries.
According to the West Valley Police, the vehicle was picked up on 3100 South going eastbound.
As the driver fled, at an intersection the vehicle crashed with two cars. Police disclosed that the driver ran away on foot but officers were able to find her.
After the accident, the driver and the people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital where officers communicated all had minor injuries and were released.
The driver identified as an 18-year-old female is under investigation and will face multiple charges, West Valley police explained.
