SOUTH JORDAN — Police have confirmed that five juveniles crashed through a fence onto Bangerter Highway early Sunday morning.
South Jordan Police responded to a call around 2:30 a.m., where a crash was reported near 10200 South.
Sgt. Squire with the SJPD said the five people were in a car that crashed through a fence. Then, it crossed all lanes of Bangerter Highway traffic and hit cement barriers.
All five teens in the car were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Four of them are now out of the hospital. The fifth remains there in stable condition.
The debris from the crash caused two other crashes, both “involving single occupant drivers,” according to South Jordan police. None of those drivers needed hospitalization.
An investigation is underway to determine whether or not driving impairments were a part of this crash.
This is a developing story and may be updated.
