MOAB, Utah — A landslide near the entrance of Arches National Park temporarily closed US-191 on Thursday. The road reopened two hours after the initial closure.
“U.S. 191 at Arches Road is completely closed in both direction[s] as crews work to clear a mudslide,” the City of Moab posted to social media.
By 6:20 p.m., the city updated that the road had reopened in both directions.
The city noted that it would take time for traffic to move through since the closure had caused a backup.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
