SALT LAKE CITY — The FBI on Friday identified a suspect on Friday in the case of a missing Ogden teen. The 14-year-old was last seen in Mexico City, Mexico before going missing on June 30.
KSL TV reporter Garna Meji has been following the story and joined Jeff Caplan’s Afternoon News with updates:
According to a press release from the FBI, the suspect is 31-year-old Antonio Moreno, the girl’s uncle. The FBI said it believes Moreno took his niece and his two daughters without their mothers’ permission.
Moreno’s two daughters are 6-years-old and 4-years-old. They are both Mexican citizens.
The FBI believes Moreno enticed the three girls into a taxi in Mexico City on June 30.
“We believe the girls are in danger and still in Mexico,” the FBI’s statement said.
