Wildfire smoke moving into the Wasatch Front

SALT LAKE CITY — Air quality in northern Utah is expected to take a hit Tuesday thanks to wind blowing wildfire smoke in from the Pacific Northwest.

What to expect air quality in Utah to look like today
KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson said the smoke will settle in throughout the day Tuesday. That could cause air quality in some areas to become unhealthy for sensitive groups
The good news, Johnson said, is the smoke will clear out more as the week progresses, thanks to a southerly wind flow.
The forecasted high in Salt Lake City is 96 degrees on Tuesday. But, for the rest of the week, highs will hover at or near 100 degrees.
