School bus carrying students crashes in Spanish Fork

SPANISH FORK, Utah — A school bus crashed into a garbage truck in Spanish Fork on Thursday afternoon.
According to police about 40 students were on board when the bus crashed.
It belonged to the Washington Co. School District. It was transporting the Dixie High School girl’s soccer team to their game as part of a tournament ahead of school starting on Monday.
Most students had only minor injuries. But police say three students were taken to the hospital with minor neck injuries.
Police have also reported that the driver of the garbage truck also incurred minor injuries.

Another school district will be lending a bus to the team to take them to and from their hotel to play their games while they finish playing in the tournament in Utah County.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. near 600 W. and 400 N. in Spanish Fork.
