Extreme weather brings flooding, hail to Wasatch Front

SALT LAKE CITY — Extreme weather brought hail and flooding to areas all along the Wasatch Front Tuesday evening. 

The National Weather Service placed severe thunderstorm warnings for Salt Lake, Weber, Davis, Utah, and Tooele counties Tuesday evening. 

Those storms brought hazardous conditions to Utah’s roads.

Areas of Utah County, Orem, Lehi, and American Fork saw extensive flooding and even hail the size of a quarter.

Eagle Mountain City offered sandbags to protect homes from high winds and heavy rain. 

Areas in Salt Lake City saw flooded roads as well.

The beginning of this week has seen a large amount of extreme weather as part of the late summer monsoon. Anyone experiencing dangerous weather conditions should take active precautions for their safety.
