Breaking: Utah County Sheriff rescues two in Provo Canyon

PROVO, Utah — Two girls were rescued from the river in Provo Canyon Saturday afternoon by the Utah County Sheriff’s Department. One of the girls, after becoming stuck in the river, called her parents, who then called 911.

Emeregncy responders were able to locate and safely rescue the two, who refused medical treatment and were reportedly “fine.”

The identities of the two girls have not been released.
