EAGLE MOUNTAIN– A Utah County mother is in jail without bail on suspicion of killing her four-month-old baby.
The Utah County Sheriff’s Office says that at around 3:12 a.m., deputies and paramedics responded to a report at a home near Nolan park of a four-month-old baby bleeding out of his ear. His head was also swollen.
Emergency responders began to treat the child, then called for a medical helicopter.
The baby taken to Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi, but his injuries were too severe and he died early Tuesday morning.
Doctor’s say the baby’s injuries were not consistent with the story the mother told them.
The mother, 32-year-old Raona Dorothy Mora faces one third-degree felony count of child abuse homicide.
The case is still under investigation.
This is a developing story and may be updated.
