UDOT issues weather alert just in time for morning commute

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Transportation issued a weather alert on Tuesday for several roadways around the state.
According to the UDOT website, the state’s lower valleys and most of the Wasatch Front will see rain and potentially some snow on Tuesday morning.
UDOT said that lower elevation routes and most of I-15 will likely be wet, possibly creating slippery conditions.
The following roadways are under a weather alert until 3 p.m.:
- I-80, Parley’s Canyon to WY Border
- I-70, Clear Creek Summit; Salina Summit
- SR-190, Big Cottonwood Canyon
- SR-210, Little Cottonwood Canyon
- US-40, I-80 Jct. over Mayflower Summit; Daniels Canyon/Summit
- US-6, Kings Canyon; US-89 Jct. over Soldier Summit
- US-89, Over Logan Summit; Sardine Canyon
- US-191, WY Border over US-191 Summit; over Indian Canyon Summit
- SR-39, Monte Cristo
- SR-150, Entire route (Bald Mtn Pass)
- SR-31, Skyline
- SR-20, Summit
- SR-143, Summit
- SR-153, Summit
- SR-14, Summit

UDOT advised that anyone driving through mountain routes should know current traction laws. Higher elevation areas are likely to accumulate a few inches of snow on roadways.
